Flavio Meggiato

Singing is a innate instinct of Flavio, attracted since he was a child by the stage and the musical universe. At the age of 17 years Flavio begins as a singer, studying modern-singing and developing his method studying also opera and jazz singing. In those years he forms his first hard rock band, called Eclipse; with the band, and as singer, he wins many awards. In the 1995 he attends the Accademia della Canzone di San Remo, and with his song La mia stella, Flavio obtains very good results. Next year he is finalist at Castrocaro, where sings the Europe song Tomorrow. He signs a record contract, and the song is recorded and released. In 1999 Flavio wins an Italian-Swiss festival, with his song Dammi un motivo, transmited on air and included in a compilation. In the 2000 he collaborates with many singers and musicians in an important summer tour and, with the pseudonym Flayer, he records the dance single I’m ready to go. He also collaborates with Davide Devoti, ex Vasco Rossi’s guitar player. With the song Dolce e romantica Flavio realises his first video clip. For some years he teaches singing in a private school, but his dream is forming an Europe Tribute Band. In the 2004 the dream comes true: the Europroject borns, and so the Tribute to Europe begins. The Europroject attends the first Italian Europe Tribute Band Contest (22th April 2006 at Sonny Boy, Treviso), where Ian Haugland, Europe’s drummer, is the president of the quality’s jury. The Europroject wins the award as best band, and Flavio the award as best singer so, in that special occasion, he sings Rock the night and Girl form Lebanon with Ian Haugland on drum. Now Flavio is presenting the Europe Tribute with his band in the most important rock live clubs of Italy.
